Testimonial of Mr Chen Yi-Chang from Taiwan, aged 79 who had diabetes for 30 years. His blood sugar levels had reached 600. With medication, his blood sugar levels were controlled at the level of 200 -300. He was diagnosed with kidney failure and needed dialysis. Below is his daily journal:

June 1, 2005 (Wednesday) Started taking Super Lutein - 3 capsules after meals, 3 times each day.

June 2, 2005 (Thursday) Felt dizzy when I first woke up in the morning, and experienced more "wind" expelled from the body (fart).

June 3, 2005 (Friday) Felt dizzy upon waking up in the morning. Measured my blood sugar level and the result was 230. Passed out foul-smelling urine.

June 4, 2005 (Saturday) No longer felt dizzy when I woke up this morning. Passed out foul-smelling urine.

June 6, 2005 (Monday) Measured blood sugar level and the outcome was 260. Felt that my complexion has become healthier.

June 17, 2005 (Friday) Blood sugar level measured 140.

June 22, 2005 (Wednesday) Blood sugar level went up to  233 (due to consumption of 3 dried cranberries)

July 4, 2005 (Monday) Blood sugar level was 169 (measured at 1.40pm; 2 hours after eating)

July 14, 2005 (Thursday) Blood sugar level was 209 (measured at 12:10pm; 30 minutes after eating).

August 1, 2005 (Monday) Went to Taipei Municipal Zhongxiao Hospital. Told the doctor that I had stopped taking the diabetic medication. The doctor said that stopping the medication could endanger my health.Then the sugar level in blood was measured and the result was140. The doctor was astounded.

August 3, 2005 (Wednesday) Blood sugar level was 151 (5 hours after eating)

August 16, 2005 (Tuesday) Blood sugar level was 143 (measured at 2.30 pm; 3 hours after eating) 

November 17, 2005 (Thursday) Blood sugar level was 117 (measured at 4pm; 4 hours after eating)

NOTE: A normal blood sugar level two hours after eating is less than 140 mg/dL
